A Journey that started in 1950s with Shri Suraj Mall Balasaria when the patriarch travelled from Rajasthan to Kolkata for survival and look out for business opportunities, started a journey with an opportunity in the Scented Supari market in the lanes on Mullick Street in the form of Ambika Supari which followed with the advent of UMA Shree, an exclusive store for Dry Fruits and other exotic products in the first Air conditioned market of India situated in Shakespeare Sarani.

The 90's gave give birth to "BALASARIA CONSTRUCTIONS" under the rock solid leadership of the group patriarchs, who firmly believed that only successful planning holds the key to smooth transitions and sustainable growth.

Their first multistoried residential cum commercial project "SHREE KUNJ" stands firmly on the soils of HOWRAH and has become an important landmark of the town. Soon a long list of various housing projects was unfurled along the different addresses of the city. Notable amongst them were "SHREE SADAN" in Howrah, "AMBIKA TOWER" in Howrah, "GANPATI CHAMBERS" in Central Avenue, "AMBIKA KUNJ" in Kolkata, "DALHOUSIE JUTE MILL" in Baidyabati, "AMBIKA VIHAR" in Howrah, "AMBIKA REGENCY" in Bhowanipore.
